Corrosion Protection Industry (CPI)
Corrosion resistant plastics are utilized in numerous applications where chemical, moisture, and other corrosive agents are used that can damage or destroy metal surfaces. Many corrosion resistant materials must also meet UL 94 V-0 standards in order to properly protect machinery or tanks from various corrosive agents.
High Functional Plastics Manufacturing offers a variety of corrosion-resistant plastics that can fit your needs and budget:
Halar® 901 ECTFE
Produced from Halar® 901 resin, these fabric-backed rolls and unbacked sheets offer extreme chemical resistance.
ETFE
ETFE is a premium fluoropolymer that offers vast chemical inertness in fabric-backed rolls and unbacked sheets.
Kynar® PVDF
HFPM offers extruded Kynar® 740, 2850, or 2800 PVDF as standard unbacked sheets and in fabric-backed rolls.
CoPP
Fabric-backed copolymer polypropelene is a great all-around material that offers high working temperature and tensile strength.
HDPE
Cost-effective HDPE fabric-backed rolls are used in near ambient service temperatures for lining laminate tank and pipe applications.
FRPP V-0
FRPP V-0 unbacked sheets offer an economical balance of physical, mechanical, and chemical properties in a flame-retardant material.
Sample Applications
Semiconductors (Semicon)
Semiconductor manufacturers need high-performance plastics that can stand up to extremely demanding end-use environments. From high melt temperatures to chemical resistance, semicon plastics must also be easily thermoformed and/or welded into a variety of configurations. They must also pass the rigorous FM 4910 standards to ensure their suitability for use in semicon processing.
High Functional Plastics Manufacturing offers a variety of 4910-rated semicon plastics:
Halar® 901 ECTFE
Produced from FM 4910-listed Halar® 901 resin to accommodate users’ specifications in a wide variety of thicknesses (from 3mm to 25mm).
Kynar® PVDF
HFPM offers extruded PVDF sheets made from FM 4910-listed Kynar® 740 or 2850 resin in a wide variety of thicknesses (from 3mm to 50mm).
ETFE
ETFE is a premium fluoropolymer that offers vast chemical inertness in fabric-backed rolls and unbacked sheets.
